Sound Matters is a magazine published by Bang & Olufsen focusing on sound and music culture, as well as art and events. The magazine is produced quarterly and is accompanied by a podcast produced by Tim Hinman from Third Ear. Sound Matter's articles span many different periods and cultures, displaying a versatile image of how sound, music and culture intertwine and enrich each other. The focus of Sound Matters is primarily on that which is often overlooked in pop culture and the current media image. It encompasses everything from 1990s sound systems from the Balkans and astronauts playing the saxophone to cover designers and underground music collectives from Atlanta.
